OmenCon 2012 - Venue

Echidna Gully

Echidna Gully offers unspoilt rural ambiance amidst scenic view and tranquillity. In the heart of the picturesque "Waterfall Way", set in natural bushland backing on 1500 hectares of gorge country. Echidna Gully captures the essence of Australia - plus it's in the middle of nowhere so no one can hear you scream.

The main space of the venue will be the Macquarie Convention Hall which has enough space for an orgy of blue whales, with an on-site bar, sound equipment, lighting, separate upstairs loft, balcony running the length of it, and backing on to the aforementioned 1500 hectares of gorge country. It is central to all the other areas at Echidna Gully, and within arms reach of the accommodation, paintball course, bonfire pit, creek, and other rooms.

Echidna Gully reflects the spirit and dreams of our pioneering forefathers combined with modern day conveniences - if that spirit and dream was drinking every other moment, paint-balling till your limbs fall off, and making enough noise to wake all the dead people that have gotten lost and fallen down the gorge.
